Summer Flight Schedule 2018: Around the Globe From Frankfurt

The Frankfurt Airport increases its seat capacity. Starting on the 25th of March, the new flight schedule becomes effective. In summer 2018, 99 airlines will fly from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to 311 destinations in 97 countries around the world. The new summer flight schedule will take effect on March 25. Next to additional long-haul routes, it will also introduce a number of new connections from Frankfurt to European connections. An average of 5,280 flights will take off from FRA every week (an increase of 9.4 percent). 5,045 of them will be passenger flights, leading to a corresponding increase in seat capacity. Up to 910,000 passengers will be able to fly from Frankfurt every week, around eight percent more than in summer 2017. This reflects the significant expansion in European flight connections, which will account for 4,005 take-offs and 610,000 seats every week (up twelve percent). Votes from 14 million passengers are in March 23, 2018 Munich Airport can again enjoy the title of "Europe's Best Airport" in 2018. The Bavarian hub was selected for the honor in the annual World Airport Awards announced by the respected London-based aviation research institute Skytrax. The announcement was made in a special ceremony on the occasion of the international airport fair "Passenger Terminal EXPO 2018" in Stockholm. This marks Munich Airport's 11th first-place finish in this category. The World Airport Awards are based on a global survey of passengers. This year more than 14 million passengers from 100 countries helped Skytrax produce ratings for 550 airports around the world. In the global rankings, Munich took the number one position among airports handling 40–50 million passengers per year, and came sixth among all international airports. Munich Airport : around 250,000 flights on new MUC summer timetable

Lufthansa and Eurowings announce major additions to services in Munich March 22, 2018 The new Munich Airport summer timetable will start this coming Sunday, on March 25th: 91 airlines have booked slots for over 250,000 scheduled flights to 246 destinations in 68 countries. In addition to 17 German airports and 179 medium-range routes, scheduled services will be available to 50 intercontinental destinations. The summer period will continue through to Saturday, October 27, 2018. This summer, passengers in Munich will benefit from additions by Lufthansa and its subsidiary, Eurowings, to the range of destinations served. The decision by Lufthansa to station five A380 jets – currently the world's largest passenger plane – at its Munich hub represents a substantial increase in capacity.
